spider vein removal

Broken Capillaries

Broken Capillaries, telangiectasias, veins; there are many names for unsightly purple or red veins that show through the skin on the face or body. They can be isolated or occur in conjuction with Rosacea. IPL and/or laser treatments can remove these with a series treatments. Please click here to go to IPL page. It is not uncommon to need maintenance treatments 1-3 times per year to maintain the results as this condition often has a genetic component. At Vitality, we have two different lasers to attack stubborn veins. There are studies that have shown that veins around the nose and those associated with Rosacea can be linked to a digestion problem. During your consultation, we will address the inside as well as the outside for long term optimal results that work in harmony with your body.

The laser has a particular wavelength and is attracted to the wavelength of the colour of the vein. The heat energy is absorbed by the blood vessel, which results in its collapse. The overlying skin is minimally reddened, although some blistering may develop for a few days. Cover-up make-up may be applied within one to two days. The vein may appear darker temporarily.

Broken Capillaries & Spider Vein Treatments

Results are unique to each individual depending on several factors including the extent of vascular lesions and how long it has been there. Typically 2 to 4 treatments are necessary for optimal results. Treatments should be performed over one month intervals in order to accurately assess progress, and adjust settings as necessary.
